David J. Francis博士现为美国休士顿大学终身教授，德克萨斯测量、评估和统计研究所所长，曾任休斯顿大学教育学院心理系主任（2002—2014年）。其研究领域为教育统计、评估与测量。目前，他还担任美国心理协会的理事，是国际阅读协会2006年艾伯特·J·哈里斯奖的获得者。
 
Dr. David J. Francis is the Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished Chair of Quantitative Methods and former Chairman of the Department of Psychology (2002-2014) at the University of Houston. Currently he serves as Director of the Texas Institute for Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. He was a recipient of the 2006 Albert J. Harris Award from the International Reading Association.
