About This Program
In recent years, it is not uncommon to hear the report that university students are always absent for classes, paying less attention to the lecture, even paying others for attending the classes. The university teachers are embarrassed to be stuck in the dilemma: students never cooperate with the teaching. Therefore, teaching innovation in university has become the prioritized area for breakthrough of the reform.
The reason for transforming the traditional knowledge spoon-feeding education urgently is that the knowledge society requires students to have both the ability and the spirit for innovation. The internet technology makes knowledge can be accessed anywhere so that university’s function of spreading the knowledge has been weakened. At the same time, students born in the internet negation post new demands on the teaching environment and methods of university.
So, how exactly should the university courses be taught now? How exactly do university students study now? And what kind of teaching environment do they like? In order to explore these issues, the ILEAD of XJTLU is going to hold a seminar on the Teaching Innovation under Internet background on December 16th, and will invite excellent practitioners, researchers, managers and students in University Teaching Innovation to make an on-site dialogue, discussing the direction, challenges and breakthrough point of current University Teaching Innovation together.
