In the present era, the economic globalization is developing rapidly, the multi cultures are colliding and mixing together, and the information and communications are changing rapidly from day to day. How should the university education conform to the times and cultivate new talents?
We should start from the classroom teacher's teaching innovation:
Improve the instructional innovativeness, influence power and executive capacity;
Conform to the development trend in the digital times;
Establish a new concept of talent training;
Change the traditional mode of knowledge dissemination;
Create new forms and values of the future University together.
XJTLU National University Teaching Innovation Award, held by Institute of Leadership and Education Advanced Development of XJTLU, is conducted to find and award a number of universities' teachers who take "student-centered" as teaching idea, to disseminate the innovative measures of "student centered" in education reform, and to build a sharing, communication and learning platform for the teachers who are committed to teaching innovation, thus to promote Chinese higher education reform.
The classroom teachers and teaching teams who are teaching students at the front of the teaching line at the Chinese colleges and universities. At present, the people whose working duty does not contain teach students in the classroom are not suitable to participate in this activity.

The Contest Expert Evaluation Committee will make the selection from three dimensions of the innovativeness (50%), influence power (30%) and popularity (20%).
Innovativeness: create new teaching concepts, policies and methods aiming at students' learning and growth needs;
Influence power: students' learning experiences and learning outcomes have been significantly improved through the innovative practice;
Popularity: the teaching innovation has certain universality and has popularizing value in the process of Chinese University Teaching Reform.
The Letter-comment Committee is mainly composed of practitioners of various disciplines and education and curriculum researchers in the field of higher education within the international scope.
The On-site Review Committee is mainly composed of practitioners, scholars, senior media people, student representatives, etc. in the field of higher education within the international scope.
