Summary
The new trends of globalization, knowledge economy, and information technological revolution etc. have had a profound impact on the survival and development of universities. The importance of student work in the whole development of higher education and personnel training has become increasingly prominent, and the traditional management-oriented and education-led student work model has been unable to meet the requirements of the times and the future trend of education. Therefore, the ideas must be based on the actual development needs of students, take students as the center to construct the specialized student work system, integrate the academic affairs and non academic affairs, and realize the transformation from management function to educational service function.
Core target
The training aims to inspire participants to rethink the orientation of student affairs and the role of student-work staff, to help participants change from traditional stability maintenance to people educating and change from “teacher and management centered” to “student and service centered” in concept; through the forms of special reports, interactive discussion and campus visit etc. to organize participants to jointly discuss the student affairs management system and professional development path, and to help the participating institutions promote the innovation of student affairs forming interaction with classroom teaching, and to help and support students' learning and development.

Core modules
The first stage: Diagnostic assessment of extracurricular activities
Assess the extent to which extracurricular activities support students' learning and growth, and identify the good practices and weak links in the aspect of school supporting students’ learning and growth.
The second stage: Concentrated training
The third stage: Action learning
Learn from the existing knowledge, personal experience, experience of group's other members and the process of solving the problem. Effectively help participants consolidate their learning outcomes and promote behavioural change

Activity patterns
Special report: Theoretical researchers and practitioners related to Student Development Research are invited to conduct special reports, and engage in deep communication with participants on issues that need to be urgently solved.
Cases discussion: Based on the cases to deep analyze the issue that starting from the actual development needs of students and taking students as center to build a professional student-work system.
Group discussion: Group the participating departments to form the Reform Plan centering on the actual situation of each department and report the Plan, and all participants will discuss and provide advice aiming at the problems.
