Miao Li 博士, 美国哈佛大学教育学院博士后研究员,美国休斯顿大学教育学院助理教授。她的主要研究领域是语言发展,双语教育,阅读困难的形成机制,以及有效帮助阅读困难干预方案的研发。2016年,她被加拿大政府授予Banting Fellow,该项荣誉隶属加拿大政府最高级别的青年人才计划。

 

Dr. Miao Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Houston in the US. Dr. Li received her master’s and PhD degrees in Educational Psychology at Queen’s University in Canada. Prior to joining the University of Houston, Dr. Li was a Banting Fellow working at the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University. Her research focuses on cognitive, psychological, ecological, and genetic factors in learning to read and reading comprehension in bilingual children with and without reading disabilities, and their implications on instruction and pedagogy with second language learners in the mainstream classroom.

 

Dr. Li was awarded the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2013. She was also the recipient of Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship awarded by the Government of Canada for international research excellence and leadership in 2016.
