Introduction
With an increasingly mobile and globally connected population, the world is rapidly changing and faces many challenges. Education is increasingly borderless, and with this comes challenges of how to ensure quality of transnational education. There is increasing demand for appropriately trained professionals with an understanding of the challenges faced by education and globalization as they interact together. The Masters of Global Education uniquely provides in-depth knowledge, skills and understandings through both practice and theory based modules, enabling its graduates to make a telling future contribution to shaping tomorrow’s global education needs.
Program Highlights
The Masters of Global Education is intended to provide suitably qualified graduates and/or educators an opportunity to gain specialist knowledge and skills, update their knowledge, and develop a deep understanding of Global Education, at both the theoretical and practical level. The programme is designed with many unique features, especially highlights the following:

A credit bearing internship to all students to boost their professional competencies.

The programme draws on Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University as a real-life example of a successful Chinese transnational education model;
-
Focus on global education development since the 2000’s, with a special emphasis on China and is relevant to all countries’ global education development;
-
The diverse programme modules cover topics from educational management and leadership to language and cross-culture communication;
-
600 hours of a tailored Individual Learning Plan, spread over the academic programme, selected from a range of Additional Learning Activities.
Program Aims

Develop intellectual qualities of reasoning, analysis and creativity;

Gain an advanced critical understanding of key issues, concepts and theories of global education, and education management;

Promote the value of global education as part of essential learning in the twenty-first century;

Encourage critical reflective engagement with the educational community in China and internationally

Foster abilities of conducting a research project, skills of enquiry and independent learning;

Assist students in obtaining teaching experience and capabilities through both mock and real-life teaching sessions;

Develop and embed global education principles and practices across educational courses and initiatives within transnational institutions.

- For Mainland China applicants: 15 July 2020
- For international applicants and applicants from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan: 30 June 2020

Pre-sessional English Course: Summer (July/August) 2020 for students with additional language requirement;

Incoming students: beginning of September 2020;
Tuition & Location

RMB 90,000 for the entire 18-month full-time programme.
